Senior Overlay Manager · Nussli — General Contractor
Full-scope overlay delivery across five competition sites, including the world's tallest Big Air ramp at 55 m. Directed all temporary infrastructure — athlete facilities, broadcast compounds, spectator access — across complex high-altitude terrain, managing hundreds of staff and subcontractors as primary interface with the IOC.

Operations and maintenance of temporary overlay for a World Cup stadium venue. As Derig Supervisor, led dismantling and demobilization of 17,000+ temporary seats, VIP lounges and stadium extensions — planning derig sequences, workforce allocation and contractor interfaces through to venue handover.
Senior Overlay Manager · Arena Group
Full accountability for overlay delivery of a flagship Olympic venue: 4,000 m² of tensile structures, 137 modular cabins, 8.1 km of perimeter fencing, 1,676 m² of trackway. Interface lead with the Olympic Committee, driving alignment across technical, operational and scheduling priorities — delivered on budget, on time.
Cluster Overlay Manager · Supreme Committee / Mosanada
Led design, installation and commissioning of overlay infrastructure for 12 official training venues — temporary structures, HVAC, LV power distribution, trackway systems. Delivered every site within schedule and budget while absorbing late design changes and heavy logistical constraints.
Venue Manager · LS Events
Full-scope overlay installation for the technical and paddock sites of the SailGP race. Managed site operations, contractor coordination and installation sequencing — delivered safe, on time, through tight stakeholder coordination.
Overlay Manager · GL Events
On-site execution of overlay works across four venues for the Pan American and Para-Pan American Games — coordinating contractors, validating technical documentation and managing dynamic scope changes with fast site decision-making.

Coordinated client, architects and structural engineers for the Serbian Pavilion — technical documentation, structural design packages, material specification, procurement with local suppliers, operational planning and cost estimates.
Cluster Site Manager, Overlay · GL Events
Managed overlay infrastructure delivery across four competition venues as cluster site manager. Coordinated parallel installation programmes on sites running to different schedules, sequencing crews and equipment between them to keep every venue moving toward a shared deadline. Oversaw temporary structures, spectator facilities and site services, working with local subcontractors in a dense urban environment and tropical conditions.
Grandstand Site Manager · GL Events
Led the delivery of 12,000 temporary grandstand seats for the Games. Managed the full installation cycle on site — from foundation setting-out and deck build-up through to seating, stairs, handrails and access routes — directing installation crews and sequencing the build to hold the programme. Ensured every structure met certification and spectator safety requirements ahead of venue handover, then oversaw safe dismantling once competition closed.

I'm Lucas. I'm a civil engineer by trade, but somewhere along the way, I found myself drawn to a rather unusual corner of construction: building things that are designed to leave no traces.
It started with roads and civil works in France, working with Colas and Eiffage. Then, in 2018, a temporary seating project for the Commonwealth Games took me somewhere I hadn't expected to go. I haven't really looked back since.
Over the years, I've had the chance to help build the temporary infrastructures that make major global events possible. From training venues in the Qatari desert to a flagship Olympic venue in Paris, and even the tallest Big Air ramp ever built, perched 1,800 metres above sea level in the Italian Alps.
What keeps me coming back is the challenge. Deadlines that don't move. Sites that rarely go according to plan. Scope changes that appear overnight. And, at the end of it all, an opening ceremony that starts exactly on time, whether you're ready or not.
It's a strange mix of engineering precision, problem-solving, teamwork, and a healthy dose of adrenaline. And somewhere between the concrete and the events, I found exactly where I wanted to be.
